Setting a Roadmap for Effective Advocacy

Every legislative session requires a roadmap for effective advocacy, and setting your advocacy priorities is critical to your League’s success. Clear priorities will help you remain focused throughout a legislative session and will serve as touchstones to return to. In our Setting Priorities module, you’ll learn to assess your League’s capacity, determine your advocacy priorities by using Impact on Issues, differentiate between the campaign for Making Democracy Work® and emerging trend priorities, and apply a DEI lens to your League’s work.

The League is proud to open our virtual offices and listen to/support states legislative work. These office hours will be hosted every second and fourth Thursday of every month, from 3-4pm EST. This will also be a space for League members to be in community with one another. We will have breakout rooms for members to speak amongst themselves on topics of their choosing.
