LWV/Wellstone Training Series
In cooperation with Wellstone Action, LWVUS is offering a series of training webinars for Leagues across the country.
LWVUS is proud to present a series of webinars in cooperation with Wellstone Action. The webinars are meant to provide Leagues and League members with tools, resources, and strategies for growing our advocacy and voter engagement activities. This is a great training opportunity from a nationally recognized training organization.
During Convention 2018, attendees in Chicago had the opportunity to participate in a Wellstone session about effective mobilizing. Moving forward, the subsequent trainings will include a deeper dive into singular topics with more League-focused activities, small group breakouts, and examples.

January 2019: Grassroots Advocacy
We are pleased to finish this webinar series with a training that is so relevant to the work Leagues are doing across the country! Join us on January 31 at 4pm EST and learn best practices for grassroots advocacy just in time to build your education campaigns and plan your legislative agendas. This training will review difference between (c)3 and (c)4) efforts and will ensure that you and your team are well equipped for success. There will only be a single training on this topic and spots will fill up.

December 2018: Coalition Building
If you want to elevate your relationships in your community, this training is for you! In this session, participants will learn how to build inclusive coalitions. This training will intensify the "power mapping" technique learned in Base building series (September) and will ensure you are constructing a strong infrastructure of relationships that help you attract the best partnerships and be a good partner. This training is ideal for those that are serious about growing stronger relationships with partners, communities, and individuals at all levels.

November 2018: Executing An Effective Issue Campaign
This session participants will learn how to build an issue campaign using the V.A.S.T approach. This training is ideal for anyone on your team who is instrumental in building out campaigns for volunteers and great for leaders who need a refresher course on developing issue campaigns that yield results! September 2018: Integrated Voter Engagement
This session shows participants how to run campaigns that help build a bigger base in ways that empower communities and grows new leaders within the state and local Leagues. This training is ideal for anyone in your team charged with interacting with new engagers and supporters (Communications staff, Recruitment, etc.), local league leaders who have an interest in learning better ways of engaging/messaging in new communities. This is also great for your executive board members who seek to identify and recruit strong leaders and next generation of leaders to your ranks!

August 2018: Base-building and Elections
The session shows participants how to run campaigns to build a bigger base of volunteers and supporters in ways that empower communities and grows new leaders at the state and local League level. This training is best for any volunteer who wants to find and sharpen their skills to increase volunteer and supporter engagement and learn how to evaluate coalition partners when building issue campaigns.
