It’s time for ACA Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is from November 1-December 15, 2017. Leagues and partner groups around the country are working to ensure that those in need of insurance are aware of the period and signing up for insurance.

Open enrollment is shorter this year-- just a 45 day period--and the marketing budget to spread the word to those that must sign up was also drastically cut by the administration. The work that Leagues around the country are helping with during this period of open enrollment is more important now than ever as the requirement for Americans to carry health insurance is still in effect.

Many state and local Leagues have worked to assist with the open enrollment process under the ACA in the past. It’s up to organizations like the League to spread information about how to sign up and combat the attempts to undermine the law and force the system to fail.

Enroll for health care by December 15 using healthcare.gov!
